New York School of Urban Ministry (NYSUM)
"The New York School of Urban Ministry (NYSUM) is a training and resource center located in the heart of Queens, NYC with the mission to equip leaders with the spiritual and practical tools to empower the urban community by sharing and living out the Gospel." (2024 - 2025)
Prayer House (Missionary Alyssa Krueger)
We [Prayer House Ministry] exist to bring the heart of prayer and worship to the local church by building houses of prayer. As we worship Him morning, noon, and night, our hearts are transformed to look more like Him, (2 Cor 3:18) resembling Him rightly to the rest of the world. We are convinced that worship plays a fundamental role in seeing the Church equipped, empowered, and sent out. (2024 - 2025)
St. Vincent de Paul Helotes Food Pantry
Giving systematically, VBS food drive, and reliable benevolence partner sending those seeking help for food and emergency utilities assistance. Great Oaks Fellowship Church is part of a 12 church alliance helping to support SVDP which comes together annually to celebrate what God is doing. (2023 - 2025)
How We Select and Support Our Mission Alliance Partners
At Great Oaks Fellowship Church, we believe that giving is more than a practice; it’s an act of worship and a reflection of God’s heart for people.
As a church family, we commit to giving at least 10% of our first and our best toward Kingdom work through our Mission Alliance Partners who are faithfully serving God beyond our walls locally, nationally, and globally.
Our process is led by the Holy Spirit. Every potential partner and every project is covered in prayer. We ask the Spirit to guide our decisions, soften our hearts, and give us clarity about where God is already moving and where He is inviting us to join Him. Our desire isn’t just to support good work, it’s to partner with God in the work He is already doing.
We also prayerfully discern between ongoing support and one-time giving opportunities. We seek the Lord about whether He’s leading us to support a partner consistently or to meet a specific, timely need. With each decision, we strive to be faithful stewards, ensuring every dollar is used in a way that honors God and strengthens His Kingdom. And our giving doesn’t stop with finances. As God opens doors, we invest our time, our talents, and our resources. We value meaningful relationships with our Mission Alliance Partners by walking alongside them, encouraging them as they encourage us, and joining together to advance the Gospel in their communities. God’s Word shapes our hearts for generosity:
“And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.” - Hebrews 13:16 (NLT)
“And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” - Acts 20:35 (NLT)
“You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” - 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NLT)
These passages remind us that faithful giving isn’t an obligation; it’s a joyful response to God’s love. As we pour out, we continue to see God pour back into our church by strengthening ministries, expanding our reach, and opening new
opportunities to share His Word. Our partners bless us just as much as we hope to bless them.
We are truly grateful for a church family that gives faithfully, systematically, sacrificially, and proportionately. Your faithfulness makes this Kingdom impact possible. Thank you for partnering with Great Oaks to advance the Kingdom initiatives beyond the walls of our church!
