Mission Partner Workshop (MPW)

Join Great Oaks as a member, or as we say, "Mission Partner".

Know Your Gifts. Use Your Gifts.

God has placed spiritual gifts inside every believer, and He designed them to be used to build up the Church (1 Corinthians 12:4–7; Romans 12:4–6).
This assessment is a simple tool to help you discover how God has uniquely wired you, so you can serve in ways that fit you and bless others. When you know your gifts, you can use them with confidence to strengthen the Body of Christ just as He intended.

Frequently Asked Questions

A Mission Partner is how we define members of our church. These are simply people who have chosen to step fully into the mission of our church to say yes to Jesus in every area of their lives. They participate and are part of what God is doing here.

A Mission Partner does NOT mean:

  •  You're joining the staff
  • You're signing a lifetime contract
  • You have to be perfect
  • You get a secret badge
  • It's just your way of saying, "This is my church, and I want to live the mission with others.

You can be a member anywhere, but Mission Partners share a mission. We believe church is something you live, not just something you join.

It starts with Mission Partner Workshop - a simple class where you'll learn about and discuss our mission, our vision, and how you can live it out with us.

You don't have to be a Mission Partner to belong here, but if you're ready to take that next step, we'd love to have you!

We've designed this class for you to connect with others in the class, get to know our leaders, and for you to be equipped to join us on mission. We'll dive into our vision, mission, strategy, and values through table discussions. We'll also spend time exploring our mission measures of:

    • Grace: Salvation, baptism, and be equipped on how to share your story and the gospel
    • Grow: Engage and grow in biblical community
    • Gifts: Explore your spiritual gifts, talents, and passions, and how those can be used in the body of Christ
    • Give: Principle of generosity and giving in a way that's systematic, sacrificial, and proportionate
    • Go: Embrace the Great Commission and commit to serving our city and beyond through outreach and mission opportunities
