NEXT STEPS ON YOUR JOURNEY

Saying yes to Jesus in every are of our lives is a lifelong journey and can’t be reduced to a class, book, or project. However, there are times when a classroom format offers an ideal setting for personal growth.

Great Oaks offers a variety of short-term courses intended to help individuals take "next steps" in their own journey of faith in Jesus.

Theology Classes

Summer & Winter
Theology classes are available to help you in your knowledge of the Bible, grow in your faith, and provide opportunities for you to ask questions about what it means to say yes to Jesus in every area of your life.

Registration is open now for summer classes starting on June 4th.
Childcare is not provided for theology classes.

Foundations

Apologetics

Foundations is a 10-week class on the foundations of our faith taught by GOF staff, pastors and elders.  It will cover the basics like, Who is God?, What is the Bible?, What is the Trinity?,How do I share my faith?, and so much more!

This is a new class launching this semester! In this 10-week class, you’ll have space to ask difficult questions and dive into scripture to understand the answers and defend your faith.

Lifestyle Classes

Spring & Fall
Lifestyle classes are available to help you grow in practical ways through relationships, identity, stewardship, healing, and wise lifestyle practices.

Childcare is provided for lifestyle classes.

Financial Peace University

re|engage Marriage Enrichment Program

Financial Peace University is a nine-lesson course that teaches you how to save for emergencies, pay off debt fast, spend wisely, and invest for your future. For over 25 years, Dave Ramsey has been teaching commonsense, biblical money principles that work. Every time.

Class starts September 10th, 2023.
Whether your marriage needs to be reignited, or be completely resurrected, re|engage is a safe place for couples to reconnect. This ministry offers hope to marriages by helping you and your spouse move toward oneness through stories of grace, teaching, and small groups. Re|engage is a marriage enrichment program; whether couples are struggling to get along, have broken relationships, or simply want to grow closer together, marriages in any condition can benefit.

Identity Groups (ID Groups)

Participants gather in gender specific groups to learn how to overcome struggles, whether from past hurts, current sin patterns, relational conflict, or painful life circumstances.

Divorce Care

DivorceCare is a safe place where caring people come alongside you as you find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. At this 13-week, video-based support group program, you’ll find helpful counsel to manage the emotional turmoil and practical tools for decision-making.

Discovery

Join us in the Discovery Room (front lobby) in between services on Sunday at 10:30 am for an intro class to Great Oaks Fellowship. We'd love to get to know you and your story as well as answer any questions you have about our church!

Mission Partner Workshop (MPW)

Third Sunday of the Month
After attending Discovery, Mission Partner Workshop is your next step if you are looking to join Great Oaks Fellowship as a member, or as we say, Mission Partner. Come learn our story, our mission, and how you can be a part of leading people to a life of saying yes to Jesus. You'll also enjoy learning about your specific God-given gifts and abilities and discover where you might be able to share those gifts as we serve our community and world together. Childcare is provided.
