Felicia: God Sees Me

Felicia: God Sees Me

I walked into the parking lot that day, barely holding it together. Work had fallen apart. Life had been pressing in for months - legal matters still unresolved, the kind of weight that doesn't lift on its own. Anxiety had taken the front seat, and I wasn't sure I had anything left.

I almost didn't come in.

But I walked toward the door, and a woman greeted me. She was warm and unhurried, and something in me just broke open. I asked her, "Can you please pray for me?" She didn't hesitate. "Yes, of course," she said, and we prayed right there. I felt a little better. Enough to keep walking.

Inside, the room was full. So full. And I remember thinking, "There are so many people here, so many needs bigger than mine." I found my seat, and I did what I'm not ashamed to admit: I bargained with God. I told Him, Lord, the pastor is busy - look around. I closed my eyes, convinced I'd talked Him out of it.

Then something touched my arm.

It was Pastor David. He leaned over and asked if I was okay, and I said the only thing I knew to say: "Please pray for me."

What happened next, I can't fully explain. But I left that place knowing that God had gone before me, just like Pastor David said He would.

Here's what I keep coming back to: that room was packed. There were a hundred reasons I could have slipped through unnoticed. But God saw me before I ever made it through the door. He saw me in my seat when I thought I was invisible. He sent people - a woman at the entrance, a pastor mid-service - to make sure I knew it.

Nobody's story is too small for Him. Nobody gets lost in the crowd.

God bless every person who listened that day. God bless Pastor David and his family as he leads. I walked in overwhelmed. I left seen.

In Jesus' name, amen.
