How it all started...
Great Oaks Fellowship is a church plant of Grace Point Church, which started in November 1992 as a mission of Castle Hills First Baptist Church with a vision to reach the growing population of San Antonio. In the summer of 2014, Grace Point opened a second location on San Antonio's far west side, near 1604 W and Shaenfield Rd - Grace Point West Campus.
Expanding the vision...
In August of 2019, Pastor David Martin was brought on as Lead Pastor at Grace Point West, and the church experienced God's blessings through steady growth and significant influence in the city of San Antonio. In March of 2022 they felt the Lord leading them to expand their ministry by launching a bilingual service.
Where we are now...
On September 11, 2022, Grace Point West stepped into its new season as an autonomous church - Great Oaks Fellowship.
Great Oaks Fellowship influence is realized through exchanged lives, baptisms, student ministry, kids' ministry, adult ministries, life groups, and local and global missions. Great Oaks's staff and members are committed to a comfortable, lifestyle evangelism—an ongoing pursuit of saying yes to Jesus, in every area of our lives.
